My New High School Class
I am currently in the process of planning an entire year of high school lesson plans for my new school and I wanted to make the process open to you all. So, for your viewing pleasure, I have consolidated my lesson plan ideas below. Please comment if you have ideas for me!

Class rules, processes, and functionality 
- Class Captains: Each class is to elect a class captain. This person is the ambassador between the teacher and the class.
- Code of Conduct: Let the students decide how they should behave and what rules should apply to the class. Also let students help decide the punishment for breaking the code of conduct.
- Respect: Discuss what respect is. Respect me and I will respect you.

- Rules:
. No talking while the teacher is talking
. No Cellphones
. Cheating will not be tolerated
. No fighting
. No bad words
. Help each other and do your homework
. Participate
. Take notes!
. Ask questions!

- Points:
. Class points
   > Each class is working together to win
   > 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for best classes
. Individual points
   > 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes for best students
   > Prizes for every 10 points
   > Teacher keeps track of points (give students numbers and make a number/name sheet)

Questions to ask
- Do I have any control over their grade? How much?
- Does attendance need to be taken?
- Will the school order books for me if I need them?
- What is the policy on taking the kids outside on campus?
- Do the students have numbers?
