Well sports fans, I finally made it to Korea. It was a hell of a journey and I am really glad that it is over. In fact, I am looking forward to not having to take that trip for a while. On another note, Singapore Air was by far the coolest plane experience I have ever had. We had private monitors that we controlled. This meant movies, television, and video games on demand! I think I watched somewhere around 4 movies and 5 television shows.
So what happened when I got here? Well as soon as I arrived, around 7PM, I started following the crowd. Honestly it reminded me of a school of fish pulsing around the ocean. After a short tram ride, I arrived at customs and got my stamp to enter the country. I then proceed down to baggage claim, claimed my baggage with no incidence, and found my recruiter who had been waiting since 7AM in the morning for his teachers to arrive. Thankfully for his sake, I was the last.
I was then sent to a desk for EPIK, was given a que number, and put on bus for a short 1 hour jog into Seoul. We arrived at the NIIED around 9PM at night. I was assigned a roommate, given my room and name tag, and sent to unpack / get ready for bed. Thankfully I had not slept for somewhere around 28 hours, so I had no problem going to sleep at 10:30PM (which would have been somewhere around 5AM or so in Oklahoma).
Anywho, I am now showered and shaved for a day of introduction and exploration. I'll write more later!
PS I already miss you all! LOVE!
