Out and About

Korea is simply amazing. I can't even start describing how awesome this country is. Over the past two days, SO much has happened. I'll start from yesterday.

Yesterday, we had the medical test. This means that we couldn't eat from 9PM on the 23rd until the end of the test on the 24th (around 11:30PM). If you know me, you know I don't like waiting to eat...let alone miss breakfast. Regardless, after the weight test, height test, eye test, medical test, blood pressure test, piss test, and blood test, we finally got to have some mango juice and some bread (which was super sweet). The rest of the day was just basically class and listening to more people talk about teaching here.

When yesterday really got interesting was at night. Me, and 9 other people, went to a bar called the "castle bar" and got some drinks. Great people, great stories, and the making of new friends was what it was all about. The best part however was when it was announced how much we owe. After 6 pitchers of Korean bear, we were informed that we owed 8 dollars a person.

Today was a different story than yesterday. After waking up, taking a shower, and getting to class, I decided that I needed some coffee. Well, after buying a bottled coffee drink, similar to the Starbucks bottled coffees, I drank the whole thing. This was a very bad idea. I have had a REALLY bad stomach ache ALL day. On top of this, the real teaching classes kicked in. This meant that I had to pay attention while feeling like throwing up all day. Good news is that I feel much better.

Anyway, it's midnight here so I am going to bed. I promise my blog will start getting better after this orientation. Honestly it feels like grad school right now. INFO OVERLOAD.

Love to all!
